Building codes and plan revisions

All house plans are designed in accordance with applicable local home building codes in effect at the time the plan was designed. The building codes under which house plans were designed are those in force in the designer's local region.

The client is responsible for ensuring compliance with local building codes. Local building jurisdictions may require a Structural Review or other engineering services be performed. These services are often best handled by a local engineer familiar with local building codes and other requirements. Only qualified personnel should undertake any revisions to a house plan set.
